FROM THE ROCK FOR BAR ELIAS... ART UNITES US

من صخر برالياس.... فن يجمعنا

Three NGOs. One shared project.

About the project

Our goal

The sculpture, set in the heart of Bar Elias, brings the region’s heritage and cultural diversity together in a community artwork that expresses the identity of its people. It carries symbols that reflect the cultural character of the Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian communities who share this place, highlighting their common ground and a collective memory worth preserving and passing on to younger generations and visitors.

Rooted in the “Rawaq” initiative, the sculpture aims to promote peaceful coexistence and nonviolent communication by making art a language of dialogue and bridge-building among the people of the area, encouraging mutual understanding and respect. It also serves as an inclusive public space and cultural meeting point that enriches the visual identity of the area. By opening the door for the local community to take part in creating the work and take pride in it, it becomes a foundation for sustainable activities and events that support dialogue and social cohesion.
